Why We Created Golden Dorms

Golden Dorms was created in response to a growing challenge many adults face as they get older: living independently, yet increasingly alone.

Across the country, more adults age 55 and older are living by themselves than ever before. Many are fully capable of managing daily life, yet maintaining a household alone can become isolating, expensive, and unnecessarily complicated.

We believed there had to be a better option.

Golden Dorms was designed to offer a simple alternative: comfortable shared homes where independent adults can maintain their privacy while enjoying the benefits of community and connection.

Our Promise

If within the first 30 days a Golden Dorms home doesn’t feel like the right fit, we will refund up to 50% of the Community Service Fee based on the services already provided.
